Delivering meaningful impact

By working with clients and stakeholders - including our suppliers, industry bodies and charity partners - we provide platforms for education and opportunity that extend from
primary school through to tertiary education and employment.

We target those most in need, opening opportunities to build skills through enriching experiences as they move through the education system. For older students, this includes raising awareness of logistics as an accessible career option (through career fairs, literature and site visits) and supporting them through opportunities including work experience and internships.

Our 5-year plan

We have a targeted five-year social impact plan that prioritises the communities in which our assets are based and where unemployment and deprivation are a challenge.

Our objective is to deliver meaningful impact and positive change across these areas by helping young people to fulfil their potential.

Working with our clients, local stakeholders and charities, we are providing platforms for education and opportunity. Over the next five years, we aim to positively impact 250,000 young lives.

Charity Partners

Our social impact plan focuses on areas where unemployment and deprivation are a challenge. Working with local schools and charities, we encourage social mobility through personal development opportunities, skills training and education.

We enjoy a long-standing relationship with the charity Schoolreaders, supporting their outreach programme to improve literacy for primary school children. As a Silver Patron of The King's Trust, we are funding education programmes for 11- to 16-year-olds that widen access to our industry.

We also work with clients, suppliers, academic institutions and industry bodies to provide work placements, promote diversity and widen access to the property and logistics sector. This includes offering internships through the Reading University Pathways to Property Programme and partnering with the UK-based charity Education and Employers.

Strong partnerships

The Foundation has oversight of our charitable and social impact activities and helps us report our achievements clearly and accurately, providing governance for all Tritax initiatives relating to social value purpose, strategy andĀ metrics.

Over the next five years, our focus is on enhancing our existing external relationships - through activities such as increased levels of employee volunteering and mentoring - and working with our partners to accurately understand andĀ measure the impact delivered.
